Mr Sitaram Thapaliya, the general manager of NEPSE, said no date has been fixed so far for restarting the trading and a meeting of stakeholders has been scheduled for Friday to discuss the matter.
Mr Thapaliya gave several reasons for the delay in resumption of trading. “The building that houses CDSC has suffered damages and engineers are inspecting the building to see whether it is safe to operate from there,” he said.
Mr Thapaliya also said that the offices of broker companies and RTS offices have not been able to operate fully as their employees who had left for their home villages after the earthquake have not returned.
