A team of entrepreneurs led by Suraj Vaidya, president of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) arrived Thimpu on Suday afternoon with an aim to expand the economic relation between two nations at people to people level.
FNCCI delegation has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to forge consensus on enhancing bilateral business relations.
Nepalese private sector leaders are slated to call on his Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the 5th King of Bhutan and Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan respectively on Monday.
Likewise the business delegation will hold talks with the minister and secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Royal Government of Bhutan.
The team will discuss on different areas of hydropower development, joint investment and promotion with the office bearers of Druk Holding and Investments. The discussion will be followed by the observation of Bhutan Agro Industries Ltd scheduled for Tuesday.
The business delegation comprises executive members of FNCCI Gyanendra Lal Pradhan, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Om Bahadur Rajbhandari, Madanlal Joshi and Dhruba Kumar Shrestha.
Similarly businesspersons Bijaya Dalmiya, Narendra Kumar Khadka, Damber Shrestha, Tara Ghimire, Tikaram Dhakal, Dipesh Dhakal, Yam Bahadur Shrestha, Manoj Kumar Shrestha, Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Basant Tiwari and Prabina Pandey are participants in the visiting delegation.
The delegation will return back home on Tuesday.
